A well-respected songwriter and producer across three different continents; Diccon Mayfield has seen it all. Perhaps best known for his work in the field of bass music under his non-de-plum Conrank, he's as familiar a face to festival crowds as he is behind the scenes, working in the studio.
Starting off in North London's infamous Tottenham as a Beatboxer, his adventures took him far and wide, eventually landing in Shanghai. Tearing it up in clubs of China's largest city, he became the go to producer in Asia for the Dubstep sound of the early 2010s, going as far as to welcome Skrillex (as he did many of his contemporaries) to use his studio upon his visit to the bustling city. His growing reputation led to him working on tracks for the great and good of the electronic music industry, with remixes for his heroes; The Prodigy, as well as singles on prestigious labels such as; UKF, Bassrush, Wakaan, and of course; Circus Records.
With his talents demanding a rigorous touring schedule stateside, he wisely used this time in LA and beyond to get in the studio. When sessions demanded it, he could summon the vocal talents of his London youth, and eventually began toplining singles for himself and others. His idiosyncratic stylings reminiscent of Keith Flint (The Prodigy) but in themselves are inimitable.
Fast forward to today, and he's inhabiting a residential studio in provincial France, where you can find him working on more rock and electronic fuelled projects. Co-writing and co-producing an album with Eric Melvin (NOFX), amassing a library of versatile productions, and... of course; some new Conrank singles are always likely - We're excited to hear everything coming out of the Diccon Mayfield factory in 2023.
